Description

Texas Roadhouse Steak Bites are tender pieces of sirloin steak seared to perfection and coated in a rich, savory sauce made with garlic, Worcestershire, and soy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoon butter (for sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

1. 1. Start by patting your sirloin pieces completely dry with paper towels. Combine all your dry seasonings: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Season each steak bite on all sides.

2. 2. Heat olive oil and one tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add your steak bites in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 1-2 minutes per side until golden-brown. Transfer each batch to a plate.

3. 3. In the same skillet, melt two tablespoon of butter and add minced garlic. Cook for approximately thirty seconds until fragrant. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, then pour in beef broth.

4. 4. Create a slurry by mixing one teaspoon of cornstarch with one tablespoon of water until smooth. Pour this into the simmering sauce and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until thickened.

5. 5. Return all seared steak bites to the skillet and toss gently until coated in the sauce. Let them simmer together for another minute before serving.

Notes

For best results, choose high-quality sirloin or tenderloin. Let the steak come to room temperature before cooking for even results.
