Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slider buns
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. 1. Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, cooking it until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
2. 2. Stir in the taco seasoning along with 1/4 cup of water. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
3. 3. Preheat your oven to 350°F. On a baking sheet, lay out the bottom half of the slider buns in a single layer.
4. 4. Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the buns. Drizzle salsa over the beef and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
5. 5. Place the top half of the slider buns over the cheese.
6. 6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
7. 7. Top with sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cilantro, and sliced jalapeños before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for a healthier option or substitute with ground turkey or plant-based meats.
Adjust spice levels by reducing taco seasoning or skipping jalapeños for milder flavor.
